Chakar

Chakar is a small village situated about 17 km south of Jagraon, Ludhiana District. It is believed that Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru, had passed through this region during his Malva journey in 1631. Another tradition says that Guru Gobind Singh, the last Sikh Guru, had sanctified this place with his presence after the historic battle of Chamkaur. Gurdwara Guru Sar Patshahi is the major point of attraction here. Ludhiana Airport is the nearest airport.
