Established in 1959, Central Library is one of the central support services of
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM). Located in front of the IITM’s main guest house, it is well equipped with modern facilities and resources. The library houses books, theses, pamphlets, reports, current journals, back volumes, specifications, standards, patents, audio-video cassettes, microfiche and microfilms. Reading hall, reference hall and current journals reading hall are the additional features.
