Central Library




The Central Library at Panaji, Goa is one of the oldest public libraries in the country, established in 1832. It is housed in the Menezes Braganza Institute, a scientific and historical institution. The library is a storehouse of valuable documents and records that are centuries old. Books in the early days of printing have been preserved here. Historical books kept here include collections of the various religious orders banned in 1750s.
