Central Delhi District




The Central Delhi District, covering an area of 25 sq km, has a population of around 650,000. It has been the seat of the central government since 1931. At its hub, the royal mall Raj Path runs from the palatial Rashtrapati Bhavan , in the west, to the India Gate war memorial in the east. The National Museum is situated south of the central intersection. Connaught place, a thriving business center, lies to the north of Central Delhi.
