Center for Comparative Literature

Established in 1992, the Center for Comparative Literature aims at promoting comparative and interdisciplinary studies in literature, relating the literary contributions within and outside India. Affiliated to the University of Kerala, it also encourages translation of literature, undertakes studies of such translations, and lends its resources for the research projects of Ph.D and M.Phil candidates.

The center regularly conducts large academic gatherings on various aspects of comparative studies, attended by eminent writers and renowned scholars. It also houses a library featuring more than 1500 volumes and international journals. The first publication of the Center, 'Facets of Comparative Literature,' in 1994 had drawn wide acclaim.
