Carmel Public School is run by the congregation of CMI Fathers. The well-equipped Carmel Nursery school, the Carmel junior Public School, and the Carmel secondary and senior secondary school are situated in three different but adjacent campuses. Besides the normal course of studies as per CBSE syllabus, it provides the students with opportunities to learn a trade or to excel in any field of their choice. Training is imparted on various subjects including computer science, vocal music, instrumental music, dance, typewriting and short hand, embroidery and knitting, karate, kalaripayattu, yoga, drawing and painting, mountaineering, and culinary arts. In addition, a well-stocked library with thousands of books, a reading room with dozens of periodicals and daily newspapers, most modern laboratories, and a computer lab are also available.
