Caranzalem




Caranzalem is a small town on the shore of the Arabian Sea, at the north-western end of North Goa District. Taleigoa is 3 km east and Bambolim is 8 km away. Caranzalem was regarded as the rice and vegetable bowl of Goa. The fertile land is rich in ground water as well, and has sustained cultivation of three crops annually. At present rapid building activity is destroying the natural environment of this beautiful location.

Auxilium High School is the premier educational institution in this area. In the neighborhood lie Bambolim Beach, Vainguinim Beach, Dona Paula Beach, Mormugao Harbour and Miramar Beach. Hotel Blue Bay, Goa Marriott Resort are accommodation options.

Caranzalem is linked with Panaji, the state capital, by road. Goa Airport and Karmali Railway Station are the main access points.
