Caowki Ghat

Built in 1790, Caowki Ghat is a sacred spot in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh.

The attraction here is a huge Pipal tree, which shelters a number of carved stone figures of nagas, literally means snakes. Also found is Naga Kupa (snake well).

These shrines are highly venerated during Naga Panchami, a festival of snakes which falls during the Hindu month of Shravan.
