Set in 18 acres of land, Cadabam's is a home for the mentally disabled that offers residential care and psycho social rehabilitation service. This center is on Bangalore-Kanakapura main road, 20 km from
Banashankari Temple, in south
Bangalore.
For residential purposes, there are rooms (single, double and multiple bedded) and cottages. The residents are daily served nutritious food of 2500 calories. The home has facilities for watching TV, enjoying indoor and outdoor activities and gymnasium. There is a library and reading room. Trips are arranged. Training in handicrafts, tailoring and screen printing is available. Community meetings are conducted, where the residents are allowed to express their own ideas and interact among themselves.
Counseling is an important part of the treatment. Regular psychiatric and general medical interventions are offered.
The center is 30 km from Bangalore City Junction Railway Station and Bangalore Bus Stand.
