C H Mohammed Koya was born on July 15, 1927, at Attoli in
Kozhikode District. He served as the Chief Minister of
Kerala for a short term. He was an efficient administrator and a good orator.
Koya was the main architect of the University of Calicut. He was also the editor of Chandrika daily and weekly, the official organs of the Muslim League.
