Budhmor




Budhmor is a picturesque village situated about 8 km south-east of Ghuram, Patiala District. The holiness ascribed to this village is in association with Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru. The famous Tangri and Markanda rivers flow through Budhmor. An ideal destination for nature lovers, Budhmor has a beautiful landscape, blessed with numerous paddy fields. Guru Tegh Bahadur is said to have stayed here during one of his pilgrimages through this region. To commemorate the visit of the guru, a gurdwara has been built here. The nearby railway station is at Patiala (37 km). Chandigarh Airport is the nearest airport.
