Towards the extreme north-east of Jaisalmer, lies the small desert town of Borana. Bikampur, 11 km to the west and Nowa, 14 km to the south are the nearest towns.
This town lies near the district’s border with Bikaner District. Some of the other towns located close by are Chinnu, Nokh, Kanasar and Pabusar.
Indira Gandhi Canal (Rajsthan Canal), meant for irrigating the land, serves this region.
The sand dunes of Borana are an excellent site for Camel Safari.
Roads connect this land with National Highway 15. Ramdevra Railway Station and Phalodi Railway Station serve Borana. Jaisalmer Airport is the nearest airport.
