Boral Village lies in
Sonarpur Block of
South 24 Parganas District. It is about 19 km from the south of
Kolkata. This is a site of numerous old temples. Among these, the temples of Goddess Tripura Sundari are most common. There is a large tank which covers about 42 bighas of land. During the restoration of this tank, a number of stone images of deities, some belonging to the Pala period, were found.
