Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (BRPL), incorporated as Government of India Undertaking on 1974, is the first refinery in the country integrated with a petrochemical complex at one location. It is situated at Dhaligaon, in Bongaigaon District, Assam. It is about 190 km west of Guwahati, the state capital.
Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited is renowned as the first refinery in India to produce unleaded petrol. It uses state-of-art technologies to minimize pollutants. BRPL has self contained township with all modern facilities, a well equipped hospital, schools and recreational facilities.
