Bombay Leprosy Project




Founded by Dr R Ganapati, Bombay Leprosy Project is a Mumbai based organization for helping leprosy patients. It has a team of doctors, paramedics, physiotherapists and community volunteers. The organization has introduced simple field techniques for the prevention and correction of disabilities due to leprosy. Vocational training is given to leprosy patients in tailoring and screen-printing. Its computer center offers coaching for both leprosy patients and handicapped people. Job placement service and researches in the field of leprosy are other activities. Physical aids are provided for disabled leprosy patients.
