Bison Wells

Bison Wells is a wilderness retreat set in 8 acres of land in Kodaikanal, a hill station in Tamil Nadu. The area has a perfect blend of mountain wilderness and rustic simplicity. It is an ideal destination for naturalists, bird watchers, wildlife enthusiasts, hikers and trekkers.

Accommodations are in camp style cottages. You will not find any television, telephone, radio or newspaper. There is no electricity too. Trekking across the hills and watching birds are the recreational activities. At night, camp fire can be enjoyed.

Animals such as Indian bison, Tahr (the only wild mountain goat found in South India), Malabar giant squirrel and Nilgiri Langur (black monkey) are found there.

Jeep transport facility is available at Kodaikanal town on request. Madurai is the nearest city. Bison Wells can be reached from Palani, 30 km away.
