Birla Ganesh Temple




Birla Ganesh Temple - also known as Vikram Vinayak Mandir or Birla Mandir - is situated on a hilltop near Salav village, 20 km from Alibag. It is dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The beautifully carved temple, built in white marble, is located between the Vikram Ispat Company and its residential colony. The idols of Riddhi and Siddhi - consorts of Lord Ganesh - are placed on both sides of the idol of Ganapati. There are smaller temples dedicated to Radha and Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Parvati, Surya. There is a statue of Late Aditya Birla in the beautifully landscaped garden, next to the temple.
