Birahi




Birahi is a scenic village situated 8 km from Chamoli. It lies at an elevation of 1,100 m, at the confluence of Birahi Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. There is an ancient temple near the bridge, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This village is famous for trout fishes. It offers delightful views of the snow-clad mountains, terraced fields and green hills all around. Pipalkoti, Chechni Pass, Gari, Gohana Tal and Gulabkoti are nearby interesting destinations.

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Rishikesh. Birahi is connected by road to Chamoli.
