Bir Shikargarh Sanctuary



Bir Shikargarh Sanctuary is situated in Panchkula District, Haryana. It lies at an altitude of about 1,200 m and the vegetation is dry deciduous mixed forest.

Wildlife population includes sambar, chital, muntjak, goral, wild boar, nilgai, rhesus macaque, common langur, red jungle fowl, black partridge and grey partridge.

It is located near Pinjore and is near to Morni Hills. The sanctuary is easily accessible from Chandigarh Airport and Chandigarh Railway Station.
