Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary

Parmadan Deer Park



Bibhutibhusan Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Parmadan in North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal. It is named after Bibhuti Bhushan Bandopadhyay, a great writer.

Spread out over 640 hectares of forestland, the park lies on the banks of Ichhamati River. The highlight of the sanctuary is spotted deer. Monkeys and birds can also be seen. Children's park and the mini zoo are nearby.

The sanctuary is also known as Parmadan Deer Park and is around 120 km north-east of Kolkata. The nearest major town is Bangaon, which is around 28 km away.
