Bhujangasana

Bhujangasana is an asana, which resembles cobra with hood raised. It increases the flexibility in the spine and tones up the abdominal organs. Bhujangasana means 'cobra pose.'

Bhujangasana stimulates abdominal organs, relieve stress and fatigue, opens the heart and lungs, soothes sciatica, increases body heat and awakens kundalini. This asana is preferable for combating menstrual irregularities. Bhujangasana's preparatory poses are Setu Bandha Sarvangasana, Urdhva Mukha and Svanasana.
