Bhokar




Bhokar is a taluk headquarters situated 18 km north-east of Mudkhed, in Nanded District. Nanded - the district headquarters – is about 37 km south-west. Tamsa is north-west, while Umri is around 30 km south.

Unkeshwar Village, the Nanded Fort and the historic gurdwaras at Nanded are some places of tourist interest. Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary, Sivaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary are popular wildlife haunts in the neighboring Adilabad District, within easy access from Bhokar.

Hyderabad Airport serves Bhokar. Bhokar Railway Station is on the Nanded – Himayatnagar rail line of South Central Railways.
