Bhaskereswar Temple




Bhaskereswar Temple is a delightful shrine situated about 6 km south of Bhubaneswar, in Orissa. It is a unique temple compared to other Orissa temples. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, enshrined in the form of a Shivling. The Shivling here is a huge one about 9 ft high. The temple has some unique construction on its roof.

The 12th century Megheshwar Temple, situated in the vicinity, is another spot worth visiting.

Bhubaneswar Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Biju Patnaik Airport is just 3 km south of Bhubaneswar.
