Also called Barkol Negala, Bharkol is a small village in Agra District. Its location is near the inter-state border between Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters, Agra is about 36 km from here.
To its west, at about 4 km, is Fatehpur Sikri - a city founded by the great Mughal emperor, Akbar in honor of Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. Other places nearby are Dura, Kiraoli and Achhnera.
