Bhargava Narasimha Swamy Temple is situated on a hill, about two km from the Lower
Ahobilam in
Kurnool District. A sacred pond known as 'Bhargava Theertham' lies near the temple. It is the place where Bhargava Rama (other name for
Parashuram) did his penance. Therefore, the deity is called as Bhargava Narasimha Swamy.
