Bharat Milap is among the major festivals of Uttar Pradesh. It is celebrated every year during Dussehra celebrations in Chitrakut. This festival usually comes in the month of October/November.
Some of the episodes of this festival are witnessed with great interest. Bharat-Milap Lila of Nati-Emli is famous among them. Nati-Emli celebrates the return of Lord Ram from 14 years of exile and his reunion with his brother Bharat.
During the festival, the Bharat Milap Temple located on the back side of a hill in Chitrakut is attended by at least a million devotees.
