Bhairavgad Fort




Situated at a height of 2,800 feet, Bhairavgad is a prominent fort in the Malshej region of the Sahyadris. The main attarctions in the area are the Bhairav cave, a carved image of Khandoba on horseback, some carved pillars, rock-cut caves and water cisterns, and the Shivling in a cave full of water. Great views of Malshej Ghat, Nane Ghat and peaks such as Ajoba and Harishchandragad can be experienced.

The fort can be accessed from Kalyan railway station.
