Bhagta is a historic village founded by Bhai Bhagta at the end of the 17th century. Located about 20 km east of Jaito in Faridkot District, this village is one of the renowned Sikh centers in Punjab. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, visited Bhagta in December 1705. Main attraction is the ancient gurdwara named Gurdwara Patshahi 10, located at the northern end of Bhagta on a high plinth. All Sikh anniversaries are celebrated here with great zeal. Amritsar International Airport is the nearest airport.
