Bhadrapur




Bhadrapur is a small village near Nalhati. It was the birth place of Nadakumar, an aristocrat hanged during the period of Warren Hastings, the first governor-general of British India. The old Resham Kothi of the East India Company and the temple of Goddess Akali are nearby attractions. Bhadrapur is connected to nearby places like Rampurhat, Nalhati, Suri, Bolpur, Berhampore, and Tarapith, by frequent bus services. Bhadrapur can be visited from Nalhati or by Berhampore-bound bus via NH-2.
