Betla




Betla is situated in the southwestern part of Rohtas District and is near the district's border with Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. It is around 68 km south of Sasaram.

Son River flows close to the town and is a main cause of flood in this town during the monsoons. Adhaura, perched at an altitude of 2000 feet on Kaimur plateau and 17 km north of Betla, is a tourist attraction. Other prominent tourist destination is Kaimoor Wildlife Sanctuary at Robertsganj.

Nearest airports are Gaya Airport and Ranchi Airport. Sasaram Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
