Bengre is a fishing village located in the coastal area of
Dakshina Kannada District in
Karnataka. This small place is a sandpit of about 2 sq km with river on one side and sea on the other, adjoining
Mangalore city. Most of the inhabitants of the place belong to the fishing community. Bengre is an exotic place where nature is at its stupendous best.
Bengre is about 2 km from main City Bus Station via boat and bus. The nearest railhead is at Mangalore.
