Bengali Spinach

Bengali Spinach is a vegetarian dish. Trimmed fresh spinach is cooked in ghee or oil with raw almonds, spice seeds, caramelized sugar, fenugreek, grated ginger and coconut. Nutmeg is added to the dish before serving. Bengali Spinach is garnished with lemon and served hot. This is one of the tastiest vegetarian dishes of the Bengalis.
