Bengal Carp Curry

A typical Bengali recipe from the fish loving people, this curry is commonly cooked using Carp, a fresh water fish. The turmeric marinated lightly fried fish is added to the sauté curry powders, ground spices, tomatoes, ginger garlic and cumin paste, and cooked. Sugar, as in other Bengali recipes forms part of this curry too. Coriander and bay leaves add to the flavor of this recipe.
