Bathow Festival




Bathow is an important festival of the Kachari Tribes inhabiting parts of Assam. This is a festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. The festivities are marked by rituals involving animal sacrifices. The sacrificial animals mostly include goats and chickens. This annual event is observed in the Hindu month of Phalgun (February-March).
