Bastihally Jain Temple




Bastihally Jain Temple is a renowned holy temple located at Bastihally in Krishnarajapet taluk of Mandya District. The temple enshrines the idol of Bhagwan Bahubali which is 14 feet tall and placed in the Kayotsarga posture.

It is believed that the idol is erected by Punasimiah, who was a general of the Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana. Many small idols of other Jain Gods are found here.

Bastihally is about 12 km from Krishnarajapet.
