Basi, also spelt Bassi, is a
taluk headquarters in
Jaipur District of
Rajasthan. It lies on the
National Highway 11 at about 25 km to the east of
Jaipur, the state capital.
Basi is surrounded by a number of towns - Kanota, Chandio, Naila and Banskhoh, all at accessible distance. Fifteen kilometers to the west is Siroli.
The major tourist attractions are at Jaipur which includes City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort.
