Established in 1963, Basaveshwar Engineering College is a government aided instution affiliated to the
Visveswaraiah Technological University,
Belgaum, in
Karnataka. It offers degree programs in ten disciplines including Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and has five post-graduate programs. The college has an administrative block, lecture hall complex, various departmental buildings, library, hostels, staff quarters and cafeteria. Auditorium and a conference hall with seating capacities of 350 and 100 are also available.
