Dodda Ganesha Temple



Basavanagudi Ganesh Temple, also known as Dodda Ganesha Temple, is a highly revered shrine, dedicated to Lord Ganesh, in Basavanagudi, Karnataka.

Most noteworthy feature of the temple is that, the Ganesh idol is made of 110 kg of butter. This deity of butter is broken up and distributed to the devotees once in every four years. The temple is located near the famous Bull Temple.

Vinayaka Chaturthi, celebrated here amidst much pomp and splendor, draws a large number of devotees from far and near.
