Basai




Basai is a small settlement on the National Highway 75, in Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh. It is about 21 km from Chhatarpur and 19 km from Rajnagar.

Khajuraho, renowned as a world heritage site, is 24 km north-east. Medieval group of temples at Khajuraho, Pandava Waterfall, Ken Gharial Sanctuary and Shilpgram are some interesting sites within short distance from the town. Basai is also famous for its rock phosphate deposits.

Civil Airport Khajuraho and Harpalpur Railway Station serve the town.
