Barwadi Punkhri, a pre-eminent megalith site, is located around 6 km away from
Barkagaon in
Hazaribagh District. These megaliths are on a circular sloping hill, whose surface is strewn with flake tools and microliths.
There are remnants of a Buddhist sanctuary with sculpted stone monuments, which is 1 km east of the site.
Hazaribagh Road Railway Station serve the area.
