Baruni Jatra




Baruni Jatra is a one day festival observed on the 13th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Chaitra (March-April). On this auspicious day, people take holy dip in sacred rivers and seas.

In Keonjhar District, it is held at Gonasika near Brahmeswar Mahadev Temple. People from far and near visit the place to take a holy dip in the Brahma Kund situated near the temple.
