Barora is a scenic town just one kilometer north of
Kha Barora in
Kargil District. Perched at an altitude of 12,549 ft above the sea level, Barora is 188 km away from
Srinagar.
Barora is surrounded by Grugurdo (8 km west), Chunga (25 km north), Yaldoda (6 km east) and Kha Barora (1 km south). Lalung Glaciers and Wakha Rgyal are some of the tourist spots outside Barora.
The convenient railhead is at Jammu. The closest airports are Srinagar Airport and Leh Airport.
