Barhi




Barhi is a small town in Hazaribagh District of Jharkhand. It is 19 km south-east of Chauparan on the National Highway 32. The Grand Trunk Road, which was the most important means of military communication between the lower provinces and northern India from 1780 to 1858, also passes through the town. Tilaiya Dam - across Barakar River - in Kodarma District is about 17 km away. Gujhandi, Hirodih, Mahesa, Jhalpo and Kendua are nearby towns. Ranchi Airport is the nearest airport and Koderma Railway Station is the closest railhead, which is 20 km from the Tilaiya Dam.
