Baraut




Baraut is a charming town and a multi-religious center situated along the Delhi – Saharanpur State Highway in Baghpat District, Uttar Pradesh. It is 20 km north of Baghpat city and is about 55 km from Meerut.

Baraut is dotted with many Hindu and Jain Temples and Churches and Mosques. The Digamber Jain Bara Mandir is the biggest and most noteworthy among them. A 3-day carnival organized during Mahavir Jayanti in the town is a major draw. Faula Pond, Lakko Wala Kua and Temple Ravidas Pond are some other spots worth paying a visit.

Nearest airport is at Delhi. Baraut Railway Station is on the Meerut-Muzaffarnagar line of Northern Railways.
