Bara Bangal is a picturesque village situated 15 km from Thamsar Pass in Kangra District. It lies at an elevation of about 2,575 m, on the Manali – Bir – Dharamsala trek route. Bara Bangal is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available. The best time to visit is June-October.
