Bankipur is a commercial and residential area in Patna. Also spelled Bankipore, it lies on the banks of the Ganges and is 2 km north of Patna Junction Railway Station.
Bankipur’s prime attraction is Golghar, built by Captain John Garstir in 1786. Patna Dental College and Hospital is situated here.
