Banikhet is situated 7 km from
Dalhousie in
Himachal Pradesh. The gateway to Dalhousie, it assumed prominence after setting up the residential colony of Chamera Hydro-electric Project.
Major point of attraction here is a 150-year-old Nag Temple situated in the Padhar Maidan (mini stadium).
At Banikhet, the road bifurcates to Chamba and Dalhousie.
