Banhang




Banhang (Begonia palmata) is a small herb seen in shaded regions of the forests in Senapati District of Manipur. It belongs to the family Begoniaceae.

Plant-juice is used against leeches when they are found in the nostrils of animals. Extract of succulent stalks is prescribed as a remedy for venereal diseases.
