Banascraft is an association formed by Banaskantha women of north-western districts of
Gujarat. It is situated at Navrangpura in
Ahmedabad.
Banascraft owns a shop here, which has a collection adorned with appliqué, patchwork and aari embroidery. Selections include cushion covers, door panels, accessories, jewelry, floor cushion covers, wall hangings, shawls, garments, bed sheets, curtains and quilt. They arrange exhibition cum sale.
Banascraft also offers a direct marketing outlet for the artisans and provides them the income to sustain. It helps in building the traditional skills and motifs, designs and colors and reviving the use of local materials.
