Bamfest is a three day international festival held annually at
Guwahati in the
Kamrup District of
Assam. It reflects the culture and local customs of north-eastern region.
This festival was first held in 2003 at the picturesque Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra at Guwahati. The aim of this festival is to highlight the bamboo heritage of the north-eastern region. The festival displays the finest innovative products made of bamboo.
